I was fortunate to be taught by Professor Harry Markowitz, recipient of the 1990 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences. He generously wrote a reference letter for me when I applied to Finance PhD programs. The message he wrote to me, shown in Picture 1, continues to inspire me to pursue meaningful contributions to finance research.  

I have a lovely daughter, Kelly Li, who was born in 2024.

I enjoy running regularly. As a beginning runner, my personal best for the 10K is 53:39.
